OTC Hearing Aids
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently registered Over-the-Counter (OTC) Hearing Aids for adults with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. OTC Hearing Aids are a new class of hearing aid and are the first direct-to-consumer device with FDA registration. These aids will offer immediate access to hearing aids for individuals whose hearing loss does not greatly impede their day-to-day life. As OTC Hearing Aids do not include clinical services, wearers must feel comfortable with self-diagnosis and self-fitting, as well as using smartphone apps.

No prescription is needed to purchase OTC Hearing Aids. The need for OTC Hearing Aids is determined by the user.
A hearing test is not required, however, it is recommended if you believe you have significant hearing loss.

Yes! All OTC Hearing Aids offered through HCS include a 45-day evaluation period.

Yes! All OTC Hearing Aids offered through HCS include a 1-year limited warranty that covers errors caused by the manufacturer. It does not cover replacement for loss or damages caused by the user.

HCS will offer both rechargeable and standard battery-operated OTC Hearing Aids.
Rechargeable devices will come with a charger that connects to your hearing aid case.
Battery-operated devices will come with a 6-month supply of batteries.

At this time, hearing aid benefits can only be applied toward the purchase of Prescription Hearing Aids. However, all OTC Hearing Aids offered through HCS are extended at a discounted price to members of our contracted health plans.

Yes! Individuals with a flex card from contracted health plans can apply their funds toward the purchase of OTC Hearing Aids.

Yes! HCS offers 12-month interest-free financing for qualified applicants through CareCredit. Please contact HCS for more information on this process.
